National Safety & Compliance Coordinator-Traffic Control, and Road Line Marking

    Workforce International is wholly Australian-owned, operating since 1991, with significant interests in labour hire, traffic control, and road line marking services. Its scope of operations ranges across many industries, including construction, manufacturing, and local and state government infrastructure projects.

     

    The company is seeking a motivated National Safety & Compliance Coordinator to help drive its safety initiatives across multiple states in Australia.

     

    The Role

    As a member of our Safety, Quality & Compliance department based in Sydney, you will manage the company’s WHS systems and strategies relating to the traffic control and road line marking areas of the business, working closely with regional depots to achieve an increased safety focus.

     

    Key Accountabilities

    • To demonstrate and drive safety leadership across the company. 
    • Technical knowledge in the areas of Traffic Control & Line Marking, including statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Experience with implementation of Safety Management Systems.
    • Experience in liaising with staff, clients and state safety regulators responding to safety issues.
    • Experience in writing technical procedures, manuals and guides, for example; Safe Work Method Statements, Safety Management Plans, Procedures, Safety Alerts, Toolboxes and Safe Operating Procedures relating to Traffic Control and Line Marking.
    • To facilitate the continuous improvement of WHS, Incident Investigation and Risk Management across all areas of the company. 
    • Traffio and SolvSafety system experience preferable 

     

    Ideally, you will have WHS experience gained in traffic control, road line marking, construction, heavy industry, or other similar areas.

     

    This role will involve some travel (post-COVID-19 lockdown) within the state and occasional interstate travel,  which requires working independently while operating as part of a larger team.
