Due to an increase in workload, we are currently seeking a Trades Assistant for weld preparation in pipeline manufacturing business based in Rutherford. This role is an immediate start

About the Job:

• You would be working with large angle grinders and nibbler machines & profile cutter to assist Boilermakers with weld prep on small to large diameter, medium to heavy wall pipes used in utilities industry.
• This work is very physical and most of your time will be sent 75% grinding and 25% workspace organisation and cleaning work area, you must be able to follow directions of workshop supervisor and follow safe work procedures and directions
• Day shift with overtime available.
• Ongoing work

Skills / Experience

• Boilermakering Trades Assistant, Fabrication shop or similar
• Must have excellent work attendance record as you well be an important cog in the manufacturing process
• Able to use angle grinder, nibbler machine & profile cutter
• Drivers License
