Our client, a well known trailer manufacturer is looking for mechanics and parts assemblers trade staff to support production.

• Great opportunity to become permanent after 3 months
• Casual ongoing 38 hours per week

Based in western suburbs, this is a great opportunity for Mechanics/ Assemblers looking to move out of their general day-to-day servicing roles. You will be working with a team of qualified staff from a variety of trade disciplines.

Mechanics duties:

• Have experience in servicing  semi-trailers, or a like product;
• Have the ability to diagnose faults, make recommendations and then complete required repairs;
• Understand and be able to repair trailer air brake and suspension systems;
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of electrical systems and undertake basic repairs.

Assembler duties: 

• Fitting out of tyres/wheels, guards/mud flaps, front ratchets, rear ratchets, curtain buckles, tool boxes, load binders, dock bumpers/rear bulbar caps, tyre carrier, water tank, dock bumpers/rear bulbar caps, gates/suspended straps, side posts, tyre pressures.
• Use of power tools and air tools.

 Requirements:

• Trade qualification
• Experience working on truck, bus and / or mining / earth-moving equipment is desirable
• Qualified assemblers - must have Electrical, Pneumatic or Hydraulics and Mechanical aptitude
