Our client based in Sunshine West are currently seeking a Flag Pole Installer/ Labourer to join their team. These are casual on-going roles with view to permanent.

Duties:

• To install and repair a variety of Flag Poles in metropolitan and rural Victoria and occasionally interstate
• Efficiently plan and schedule installations and repairs of Flag Poles.
• To prioritise work appropriately in conjunction with the Operations Team
• Maintain effective communication with client and provide client with a high level of service covering all aspects of the job.
• To carry out installations as per Abel’s procedures, engineers computations and Operations Team.
• Ensure projects are completed in an efficient, competent and timely manner.
• Ensure technicians promote a professional and positive image of Abel in the workplace.
• Complete all appropriate paperwork involved prior to commencement, during and on completion of job.
• Ensure all OH&S requirements are adhered to and ensure others in section operate in a similar manner which include:

1. Wearing and using PPE – personal protective equipment
2. Assessing and filling out JSA’s and /or SWMS before commencement of works and all other related OH&S paperwork
3. Ensure traffic management and/or other OH&S procedure area in place and effective before the commencement of work
4. Ensure liaison with work site supervisor and or groundskeeper before starting work

Qualifications / Experience:

• Construction / Steel manufacturing qualifications and construction site experience.
• Able to read engineers drawings and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Installation /Repair of Flag Poles or similar industry experience.
• Able to use and operate power tools.
• Have experience with Cranes Trucks and Concrete work.
• Familiar with OH&S procedures and paper work on general work sites 
• Current driver licence
• Fork lift Licence
• Police Check & Working with Children Check
• Red/ White Card
• Experience in Traffic Management Plans and protocols
